I am a Data Scientist specializing in market analysis, behavioral market segmentation, and the development of action-oriented models and frameworks that drive data-informed decision-making. My research and publications span clustering algorithms, network analysis, fraud detection, and data-driven decision systems. Passionate about bridging research and industry, I leverage advanced analytics to optimize business strategies and deliver actionable insights from complex datasets. I have solid academic and practical backgrounds in large-scale clustering, optimization, operations research, and network sciences.
Originally from Bangladesh, I moved to Canada in 2014 to study for my M.Sc. in Computer Science at the beautiful Okanagan campus of the University of British Columbia. After completing my master's, I pursued my Ph.D. in Computational Science and Engineering as a part of the Marketing and Supply Chain Analytics (MiSACN) research group at McMaster University.
During my Ph.D., I was fortunate to receive the Mitacs Accelerate Fellowship three times (for three years) to work with a Canadian FinTech company. This experience was the primary motivating factor for me to pursue my career in the industry.
As an enthusiastic reader, I enjoy exploring a wide range of topics, including history, anthropology and psychology. I am always eager to embrace new experiences, diverse cultures, and different perspectives.
